Neurodegenerative diseases pose an enormous problem for not only the people who suffer from them but, their relatives, friends and caregivers.
There are now more than 46 million people with dementia worldwide, more than the entire Spanish population. The progressive aging of the population means that by the year 2050 there will be 131.5 million .... We all know someone who suffers from this problem.

We have received public, national and European funding. However, the economic funding for research is low. This hinders us access to more means that could lead to increased benefits over a short period of time.

The Fundación de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (FUAM) allows us to channel donations to strengthen and enhance our research and its possibilities of development to clinical practice.
